BIM/CAD Modeller for Cable Systems

Job ID: 40468807

Budget: €1,500 – €3,000 EUR

Full project description:
I need an experienced BIM/CAD modeller to add cable management systems to an existing 3D model. The work includes modelling cable trays and ladders, routing them according to provided routes and constraints, coordinating with existing structure and MEP elements, and delivering clean, well‑named, editable files.

Scope:
Review the supplied NWD and provided routing sketches/notes
• Model cable trays and ladders at the specified locations and heights.
• Ensure proper supports, hangers, and clearances relative to existing elements.
• Classify objects and add basic parameters (type, width, elevation, route ID).
• Perform a basic clash check in Navisworks and report any major clashes.
• Deliver final files and a short QA report describing what was modelled and any issues.

Typical tasks:
• Convert or extract geometry from NWD as needed to create editable geometry.
• Create families or standardized blocks for trays and ladders (Revit families or equivalent).
• Route trays along provided paths; create junctions, bends, and supports.
• Coordinate with structural and MEP geometry to respect clearances.
• Provide screenshots and a short video walkthrough of key areas (optional).

Files I will provide:
• The NWD file (primary).
• Routing sketches, floor plans, and elevation references.
• A short list of required tray widths, ladder types, and preferred elevations.
• Example family or standard if available.

Required deliverables:
Choose one or more and state which in your bid:
• RVT (Revit project) with tray/ladder families and parameters mapped.
• IFC (IFC4 or IFC2x3) with classification and property sets.
• DWG 3D exports (layered and named).
• Updated NWD/NWC with trays/ladders placed and a Navisworks clash report.
• QA report (1 page) listing what was modelled, known limitations, and recommended next steps.
• Optional: FBX or screenshots for visualization.

All files must be clearly named and delivered in a single ZIP.
