Apartment Electrical Layout Design
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
I’m finalising the plans for a new apartment development (8 studio flats with their own service and main community area with main building service) and now need a complete electrical layout and wiring design. The focus is on a concealed wiring scheme throughout the units and common areas, with copper conductors specified for every circuit. (updated electrical prints for power lighting and a panel schedule)
The assignment starts with reviewing the architectural drawings I will provide in DWG/PDF format. From there, I expect a comprehensive set of electrical documents that a contractor can take straight to site and an authority can approve without back-and-forth.
Key deliverables
• Detailed AutoCAD (or Revit) drawings showing all conduit routes, junction boxes, switchboards and outlet locations
• Single-line diagram, panel schedules and circuit numbering that reflect the concealed-copper approach
• Load calculations, cable sizing and voltage-drop checks compliant with the local code
• Earthing/grounding, lightning protection and safety labelling notes incorporated on the drawings
• A concise design brief that explains assumptions, diversity factors and any coordination items the architect or mechanical consultant must know
