Alaska PE-Stamped Structural Design
Budget: $25 – $50 USD
The project is a new R-2 four-plex in Seward, Alaska. I need a licensed Alaska Professional Engineer to take responsibility for the full structural package—foundation through roof—using a wood-framed system set on predominantly gravel soil.
Scope of work
• Size and detail the foundation, including frost protection suitable for a gravel base and local freeze-thaw conditions.
• Provide shear-wall layouts, hold-down schedules, and complete lateral analysis.
• Calculate gravity and lateral loads for all floor joists, beams, columns, and roof trusses.
• Produce construction drawings and calculation sets stamped with your Alaska PE seal, compliant with all Alaska-specific building codes.
• Deliver files ready for permit submission (PDF plus original CAD/REVIT or similar).
Acceptance will be based on municipal permit approval or a written acceptance letter from the local building official.
