Architectural Drafter for U.S. Residential Permit Projects (Ongoing Work)

Job ID: 40369872

Budget: $250 – $750 USD

I’m building a reliable bench of architectural drafters for a continuous stream of single-family work across the United States. Typical assignments involve custom homes, additions, remodels and the full permit drawing package city reviewers expect.

You will receive the survey, design sketches and jurisdictional checklists from me; your role is to translate them into coordinated floor plans, elevations, sections and title sheets ready for submission. I’m open to whichever platform you work fastest in—AutoCAD, Revit or SketchUp—but the file must be clean, layered logically and print without surprises. A working knowledge of U.S. residential codes is essential so stairs, egress, energy notes and structural call-outs meet IRC/IBC standards.

To help us move quickly, include the following in your proposal:

• Brief examples of comparable U.S. projects you’ve drafted (custom homes, additions, remodels, permit sets).
• Your primary software environment (AutoCAD, Revit or SketchUp) and current version.
• Typical turnaround for a 3,000 sq ft home from redlines to permit-ready set.
• How you price the work (hourly, per sheet, per square foot, etc.).
• Weekly availability for at least the next three months.

Consistent quality, clear communication and dependable deadlines will lead to a steady flow of projects. I’d like to start with a modest permitted addition; if the collaboration runs smoothly, you’ll be my go-to drafter for ongoing residential work.
