PROFESSIONAL LISTENER + COMMENTATOR

I am launching a vegan secular humanist mission. It’s not a church or any other house of prayer in the traditional manner, it’s a house of applied philosophy. In practicality it serves the same purpose as a church, temple, synagogue, mosque or monastery.
My values & beliefs are very much secular. I concern myself with the metaphysical, not believing in the other-worldly or super natural.
Actually, I’m an ignostic. That is someone who thinks that the concept of religion was invented by the Western world as a means of denigrating & dominate what they considered were the colonized people’s primitive beliefs, values & practices.
When we speak of “church” it’s either to explain it to someone who doesn’t t understand & to get the same protection under the law as religious institutions enjoy in the Western world.
It’s like religion & spirituality but not quite. It's not even per se a spirituality as it's more along the lines of an applied philosophy.
So it’s really just a values & a practice in the guise of a religion or church. To quote Alain de Button, why should religions have all the fun? It’s high time I re-appropriate some of the beneficial vehicles & mechanisms from churches for my own ceremonial observances.
I need your help to listen to my invocations, services, mindfulness exercises so I improve myself in holding rituals.
You come into the picture because you’re an intellectual & you’re curious by nature. You’re command of English is at a high level. You understand abstract concepts & ideas. Oh & most important, you are vegan. Only if you are vegan or plant-based are you able to truly & fully understand what I’m trying to create.
After I hold give a speech or a ritual or any other presentation, I would like you to ask questions so I know if it made any sense to you. I also want you to give me constructive criticism.
People are drawn to you because you really listen. You’re the person turn to with their concerns or troubles. They confide in you because you don’t betray them. You keep their confidences to themselves.
