I need to reverse engineer the .olts file format or software to replace some data values.
OLTS is a file type specifically used for saving fiber optic measurements for telecommunication testing.
The manufacturer provides this viewer tool (attached) that lets you read, convert and edit some of the data but not all data from the measurements. That's the part were I need your help. There are 4 sample OLTS files with spreadsheets attached that we use to generate the values we want to replace (These are the colored values in the center)
We save hundreds of these files per week, so any sort of application or script that we can use to input this data to an olts file would make our work much easier.
The last developer who tried said this was done on .NET and he didn't have enough knowledge on .NET that's why I posted .net as required skill.
Note: the viewer tool is inside the attached toolkit. Is the one called Optical Result Viewer (Olts)
The main goal of this contract is to create a tool to edit these values on olts files.
After that you have the option for a separate contract to automate this process of inserting the values from the spreadsheets.
