Extract source code from a desktop app

I’m using a paid version of a software that originally started as an open-source project on GitHub. The developer now only releases compiled builds, and I’d like to restore full transparency by rebuilding a readable source code version.

The project is mostly written in Python, with some C++ libraries used for performance and AI acceleration. My goal is to reconstruct the functional source code so I can review it locally and understand exactly what it does.

What I can provide
• The original open-source GitHub version for reference
• The paid installer and compiled executables
• Configuration files and local model files used by the software

What I’m looking for

Reverse-engineer or decompile the paid build, using the open-source version for comparison.

Rebuild a clean, organized source folder that reflects the current paid version’s functionality.

Include simple build instructions so I can compile and verify it on my side.

Highlight any sections related to security, privacy, or external dependencies.

I’ll work alongside you during the process. I have some basic reverse-engineering knowledge but I need someone with strong experience in Ghidra, IDA, or Python decompilers. The work is strictly for personal audit and will stay private.
