Senior PHP Laravel Developer Needed – Fishing Operations Management & Accounting System (ERP/SaaS)

Job ID: 40468975

Budget: $250 – $750 USD

I’m kicking off the first phase of a web-based Fishing Operations Management and Accounting platform and need a seasoned Laravel specialist (or a tightly knit team) who can move fast while writing clean, testable code.

Core scope for this phase
• Build the backend and a simple responsive front end in Laravel 10 / PHP 8.x with MySQL.
• Implement three working modules: fleet management, catch reporting, and crew management.
• Set up role-based access for Admin, Captain, Crew Member, Government Monitority, and Counting users so that each sees only the tools and data they need.
• Provide seamless hooks for two integrations that will follow immediately after the MVP: our existing accounting package (REST/JSON) and live GPS tracking for vessels.
• Deliver RESTful APIs from day one; the mobile companion app will consume them later.

Deliverables
1. Git repository with well-structured Laravel code, migrations, seeders, and unit tests.
2. A concise set-up guide and database schema.
3. Deployed MVP on our staging server (Docker or Forge is fine).
4. Short loom or written walkthrough showing the three modules and role switching.

Acceptance criteria
• CRUD operations working for vessels, trips, catches, and crew with form validation and basic reporting views.
• Permissions enforced for all five roles.
• API endpoints documented with OpenAPI or Postman collection.
• Code passes automated tests and PSR-12 linting.

No design polish is required yet; focus on solid architecture and a usable UX that lets us start capturing real data. If this foundation is robust, you’ll be first in line for subsequent phases—accounting sync, weather overlays, analytics, and beyond.
