PHP/Laravel Cursor AI Feature Build

Job ID: 40314596

Budget: $250 – $750 CAD

I have an HR-tech platform that already runs on PHP / Laravel, feeds a React front-end, stores assets on AWS and relies on OpenAI for dynamic content creation. I now need to roll out a set of brand-new backend features and I want someone who can move fast, write elegant, test-covered code and make the most of Cursor AI’s pair-programming capabilities while doing so.

20 Hours per week

Here is the landscape you will step into:
• Codebase: Laravel with a clean service-layer architecture, PHPUnit in place, GitHub flow.
• Stack add-ons: OpenAI SDK, AWS S3 & SES, MySQL 8, Docker for local parity.
• Team: You will collaborate directly with a React engineer who is ready to consume the new endpoints the moment they are merged.

What I need from you
1. Scope, design and code the requested features on the backend (the focus is implementation, not bug-fixing or optimisation right now).
2. Keep data integrity front and centre; migrations and seeders must be reversible and peer-review friendly.
3. Expose the new functionality through well-documented REST endpoints so the front-end can hook in without friction.
4. Use Cursor AI during development to accelerate delivery—share recorded sessions or summary diffs to showcase how it helped streamline the work.
5. Maintain high test coverage, PSR-12 style, and clean commit history.

Acceptance criteria
• All new endpoints return the agreed payloads and status codes.
• PHPUnit test suite passes with ≥90 % coverage for the added modules.
• Code review yields no critical issues and deploys cleanly to the staging environment.
• Swagger / Postman docs updated and handed off to front-end.

If you are a senior Laravel developer comfortable pairing AI-assisted coding with solid engineering fundamentals, let’s jump on a quick call and map the milestones.
