Node.js Business Directory Platform

A complete business directory is being built on top of Node.js, and I need the core functionality in place so the same back-end can serve both a responsive web interface and companion mobile app. Users must be able to discover companies quickly through clean search and filter tools—think category, location, keywords—and then leave ratings and written reviews that appear instantly across devices.

Contact of the poster and searcher must be made available to each other.

The back-end must be written in modern, well-documented Node.js (Express or a comparable framework works fine) with clear, versioned REST or GraphQL endpoints that the web and mobile clients can consume. Data security, input validation, and pagination are important because business listings will grow over time. Feel free to recommend the database you’re most comfortable with (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, etc.); I’m open as long as scaling is straightforward.

Deliverables:
• Node.js source code with modular architecture and commented routes/controllers
• Database schema/migrations and seed data for sample listings
• API documentation (Swagger or similar) covering search, filter, review, and rating endpoints
• Basic web front-end that consumes the API and showcases the search/filter and review flows
• Mobile client code (React Native, Flutter, or similar) wired to the same API, ready for build on Android & iOS
• A short README with setup and deployment steps

Clean code, concise commit messages, and a brief hand-off call or video walkthrough will wrap the project. If you have past directory or marketplace projects in your portfolio, please mention them so I can see your approach to structure and UI.
