Enhance React App & Laravel API

I have a production React JS that talks to a Laravel/PHP REST API sitting on a MySQL database. The core build works, but it now needs a thorough polish and a few new capabilities.

First, the UI/UX needs a lift. I want the navigation re-thought so users reach key screens in fewer clicks, the visual design updated to a cleaner look that matches our brand palette, and every page fully responsive from mobile to desktop.

Second, performance has to improve. The goal is to shorten initial load time, speed up client-side rendering, and streamline the way the front end calls the API. Code-splitting, lazy loading, database indexing, query caching—whatever modern best practice applies, I’m open to it as long as it produces measurable gains.

Finally, there are several small but important feature additions (such as an activity log and an admin-side report screen) that will require React component work, new Laravel endpoints, and a couple of extra MySQL tables.

Deliverables
• Refactored React codebase with updated navigation, refreshed visuals, and responsive layouts
• Documented performance improvements, showing before/after metrics for load time, render speed, and API latency
• New features fully integrated and unit-/integration-tested across React, Laravel routes, and MySQL schema
• Short hand-over guide explaining any new packages, env variables, or build steps

Tech stack: React 18, Vite/Webpack, Laravel 10, PHP 8.2, REST/JSON, MySQL 8.
