Tempromandibular Joint Headaches Misdiagnosed as Migraine Headaches

Based on our treatment of over 3000 patients with a patented FDA approved intra-oral device and protocol, we have found an inordinate number of patients that have frequent and recurrent severe headaches caused by TMD have been misdiagnosed and treated for migraine headaches. We need a statistical study designed to find what number of patients with professionally diagnosed migraine headaches and treated with drugs actually have severe headaches caused by TMD which can be relieved without drugs. Our recently completed independent survey study through MTSU statistically validates that patients with severe headaches find significant relief from their headaches using the device and protocol. ( P< .01) We need a study to determine what percentage of patients being treated for migraine headaches actually have TMD headaches. MTSU study attached below.
