Systematic Review Search Strategy

Job ID: 40304259

Budget: £10 – £50 GBP

I need a fully-developed, reproducible search strategy that I can paste directly into PubMed, the Cochrane Library, CINAHL, and ScienceDirect for an upcoming systematic review. Once we begin I will share the exact PICO, but the aim is clear: maximised sensitivity without sacrificing precision.

What I expect you to hand over:

• The complete line-by-line search strings for each of the four databases, tailored to their syntax (MeSH and free-text in PubMed, CINAHL Headings, etc.).
• A brief explanation of every operator, field tag, limit or filter you apply so I can justify decisions in my methods section.
• Hit counts from a test run on the day you build each strategy.

Please adhere to PRISMA-S recommendations, use Boolean logic and proximity operators where supported, and incorporate subject headings alongside keywords. One round of refinement is included if the initial results prove too broad or too narrow.

Deliver the strings in a single document or spreadsheet—whatever makes replication easiest.
