Systematic Review Assistant: Search & Extract

I’m in the middle of conducting a systematic review and need reliable support with two key phases: running the full literature search and carrying out structured data extraction.

The search strategy is already drafted—I have a complete list of keywords and MeSH terms ready to go. You will run these strings in PubMed, document the search exactly as executed (dates, limits, yields), download all citations, and organise them for screening. If you spot obvious opportunities to broaden or fine-tune the search while staying within PubMed, let me know so we can adjust together.

Once the final set of studies is agreed, I’ll hand over the data-extraction template. Your job will be to read the full texts, capture the prespecified variables with high accuracy, and flag any uncertainties. Basic numerical summaries or descriptive statistics are welcome if you are comfortable providing them.

Deliverables
1. Search log from PubMed, including full query strings and record counts at each step, plus an export of all citations in RIS or CSV format.
2. A clean, complete data-extraction sheet (Excel or Google Sheets) with every required field filled and source page numbers noted.
3. A brief note outlining any issues encountered or studies that required discussion.

I value clear communication and meticulous record-keeping, and I’ll be available to answer questions quickly so the work flows smoothly. If you have experience following PRISMA or Cochrane methods, that’s a definite plus, but solid PubMed skills and attention to detail are the essentials.
