Substack Article Writer (Research + Content Writing)

I run the Social Trending Now newsletter (https://www.instagram.com/socialtrendingnow/) and need a reliable contract writer who can comfortably tackle two of our Substack segments—Content Inspo and Marketing News Recap. The commitment is eight short-form pieces (>1000 words) each month. We handle design and publishing; so we need you to focus on research and writing that feels human and passes AI-detection tools.

What the work looks like
• Four Content Inspo articles and four Marketing News Recap articles every month (roughly one hour per piece).
• Each item draws from solid sources such as industry blogs, social-media feeds, leading industry news sites and the latest platform press releases (everything will be fact-checked).
• Tone is fresh, conversational and value-packed for junior marketers, creators, and social-media professionals who rely on us for fast insights.

How we’ll work
• 100% remote, completely flexible schedule (as long as deadlines are met).
• You invoice in AUD at month-end (must hold independent contractor status/ABN).
• Ongoing work starting at ~8 hours per month, with potential to scale

Deliverables
1. Eight polished, fact-checked articles per month, ready for the newsletter.
2. Inline source links for any stats, quotes or examples used.
3. Final copy delivered in Google Docs by the agreed dates.

Acceptance criteria
• Clear narrative, no AI “tell-tale” phrasing, and passes our detection scan.
• Zero plagiarism and close to no grammatical edits needed.
