Research assistant
Budget: $2,000 – $6,000 HKD
Applicants should have (i) an M.Phil. or a B.Sc. degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Pharmacology, Biotechnology, Biomedical Sciences or equivalent (ii) hands-on research experience with zebrafish model (iii) relevant research skills in molecular biology analytical techniques such as DNA/RNA isolation, primer design, qPCR, qRT-PCR and (iv) a strong sense of responsibility, ability to work independently and self-motivation.
The appointee will (a) perform Chinese medicines related research projects using zebrafish models for pro- and anti- angiogenesis evaluation (b) establish other zebrafish models and (c) perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor (e.g. data analysis and report writing, assist in housing the zebrafish during weekends).
Appointment will initially be made on contract basis for one year commencing as soon as possible, renewable subject to mutual agreement.
