Research on Autism Prevalence throughout the Americas

Job ID: 38291171

Budget: $30 – $250 USD

I'm looking for a researcher who has access to paid scientific research. If you are a student, this is an ideal gig for you.

Please do not apply if you are just going to use Google! Only apply if you have access to paywalled research.

I am looking for latest statistics on the rise of autism (hopefully with delineation for severe or level 2/3 vs high functioning) throughout the Americas. This is important because I am looking for information both within the United States but also specifically: Chile, Peru, Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay and any other American nation, or a breakdown by continent, etc.

I would also love to find something about the disintegration of the family unit.

No need to create a research paper, I just want a bullet point of facts with the link to the original research. I've taken Google as far as it goes but I know there must be some paywalled research and I am looking for first steps.

Big picture: I am building a charity for special needs adults. I want to leverage the facts you find into our mission statement and to bolster our future funding. The thesis we are hoping to prove is that autism *specifically severe autism* is on the rise and by 2040 (or 2050, etc) there will be X amount of people that need full time care. So anything that talks about children now is great because they will be adults in 10-20 years.

The disintegration of the family unit also plays a part in that current parents of low functioning autistic children will not have the family support to care for their children after their primary caregiver has passed.

I'm the mother of a 7 year old who will never have a job or take care of himself. I don't want to leave my son to some random court appointed guardian or corporation to care for him after I am no longer able to do so. That's why I want to build a network of charities that will provide long term care for people like my son. Throughout the Americas, starting in Santiago, Chile.

My assumption is that most of the research will be for within the United States so please look for specific country research as well.

Here are the countries we plan to have locations in:
United States
Chile
Argentina
Uruguay
Paraguay
Peru

When you apply please let me know what database you have access to and if a student, your degree.
