Meta-analysis on Environmental Factors in Parkinson's Disease

Job ID: 38414997

Budget: £20 – £250 GBP

I'm seeking a Cochrane Revman expert to conduct a meta-analysis on the interplay between environmental elements (such as metal and pesticides) and genetic factors (particularly SNCA etc) in Parkinson's Disease over the last decade.

Key requirements include:
- Identifying and analyzing relevant studies: You should have a strong understanding of Parkinson's Disease, environmental factors, and genetic research to efficiently identify and gather relevant studies within the specified time frame.
- Conducting the meta-analysis: You will be expected to use Cochrane Revman to perform a comprehensive meta-analysis on the data. This would involve synthesizing and interpreting the findings of the selected studies to address the specified research questions.
- Reporting and interpretation: The final deliverable should include a detailed report on the findings, specifically addressing the correlation between environmental exposure and genetic changes, and incidence rates of Parkinson's disease in exposed populations.

Ideal candidates for this project should have:
- Proficiency in Cochrane Revman: Prior experience in conducting meta-analyses using Cochrane Revman is essential for this job.
- Background in Neurology or related fields: A strong understanding of Parkinson's Disease, genetics, and environmental factors is crucial for effectively interpreting and contextualizing the results of the meta-analysis.
