Marketing Playbook County Research and Data Entry -- 2

Job ID: 31484538

Budget: $8 – $15 USD

This is a research and data entry project. We need to identify organizations and businesses in various US Counties and collect specific information about them and enter that data into a data sheet. You will copy that data into a letter template for each organization/business to create a customized letter for that organization or business.

If you do a good job, we expect to do many such projects in the future and may hire you for those.
This is a shortened list of the activities:

Identifying the specific local organizations within that County (which will be entered into a data sheet). Some of these are national or international organizations with local branches, while others are types of clubs that may or may not be in a specific County. Your job is to find the specific ones within the County we indicate. For example, Kiwanis Club is a large international organization with many local chapters. Your task is to find all the local chapters, branches, and clubs that fit within the general description. Another example: homeowners associations are a type of group of homeowners that generally form a specific neighborhood.

You should consider whether you are familiar with such organizations in the US before bidding on this job, so you don’t waste time with listings that do not match the description.

Membership Service Groups: Kiwanis, Lions, Oddfellows, etc.
Non-Profit Organizations: food banks, community assistance, etc.
Community Membership Organizations: YMCA, Boys/Girls Club, etc.
Local Government Entities: health departments, social services departments, etc.
Learning Organizations: public schools, private schools, colleges, etc
Faith-Based Community Organizations: Churches etc.
Associations: Homeowners associations, realtor associations, etc.
Omnibus Organizations: United Way
Support Groups: AA, NA
Disability-Related Organizations
Civil RIghts Organizations: NAACP, other civil rights groups
Political Organizations: National League of Women Voters, etc.
etc...

For each organization, you may find duplicate, contradictory (example: different contact names for the same organization) and outdated information (website addresses that don’t work) and missing information (example: no contact information.) For each of these situations, do the following:
Duplicate information: attempt to determine the most recent information and use that. If you cannot tell which is the most recent information, provide all the information you’ve gathered, including duplicates.
Outdated information. Check website addresses to be sure they go to what appears to be an active website. If there is no evidence of the website being updated within the last 2 years
Missing contact information. Be sure to look in all possible locations for contact information. See suggestions below.

Enter the following information from each type of organization

Type of Organization
Audience
Name of Organization
Website
Facebook Link if there is a FB page
Facebook Followers if there is a FB page
Contact Name
Address
Phone Number
Email or Contact Form information
Any notes

Guidance on collecting county organization/business information:

Once all of the data is gathered, the following information will be entered into a corresponding letter (matched by Organization Type).

You will match the letter type to the organization and create a unique letter for each organization by copying the information you have found into a copy of the template.
