LLMs for Patient-Safe Drug Prescription

As a NLP master student, I am tasked to devise a research proposal centered on the application of LLMs. The goal is to create a model that can accurately prescribe medication depending on a patient's condition and history, thereby improving patient safety and outcomes. Ideally, a successful applicant for this project should have:

- Profound knowledge and experience in medical data analysis;
- A comprehensive understanding of LLMs and their applications in healthcare;
- Competence in data collection, possibly from university hospital archives;
- Expertise in developing or using tools for data analysis and machine learning modeling.

Your role may involve utilizing a variety of methodologies, yet the specific method to be used will be upon us to decide as the project progresses. Ultimately, our research aims to revolutionize how doctors prescribe medication, eliminating as many medication errors as possible, and hence, is targeted towards medical professionals, pharmaceutical companies, and regulatory authorities.
