Internet Research (News related sources & data)
Budget: $10 – $30 USD
Before you proceed, you'll be asked to provide a few samples of the two tasks below (to confirm your understanding). If you don't agree to this, don't apply. Budget is a placeholder.
=========================
Generate a list of available/possible News categories and subcategories, for e.g. Nature, Disasters, Crime, Military, Politics, Religion, Health, Economics, Technology/Cyberspace (internet related), etc. Global news services, portals and feeds have various categories/subcategories. Sometime they're the same or similar. Sometime they're very much different. We need to gather as many of them as possible. For our news aggregation service, we need to generate a new category/subcategory list (merge) that would cover all of the news articles out there.
CSV structure:
Category, sub-category
e.g.
"Business, Finance & Economics", "Accounting"
"Business, Finance & Economics", "Careers"
etc
Possible source/example: https://www.newsmaker.com.au/category/index
Find as many categories and subcategories as you can. Use separate CSV files for different sources, keep track of them. Also, use found categories/subcategories to generate a new list of categories/subcategories that would uniquely encompass all news articles out there.
=========================
Get a list of RSS News sources/feeds, e.g. CNN, ABCNews, NBCNews, Aljazeera, Forbes, TechRadar, Yahoo, NYTimes, WSJ, Fox News, Guardian, google news, etc. worldwide (english language only).
CSV structure:
source (news agency name), URL (news agency website), RSS_URL
Many news agencies offer multiple feeds (politics, sports, etc.) and although you can include those as well (separate sheet[s]), focus on main RSS feeds that include mixed/all types of news.
There are many sources that already offer news feeds lists that you can utilize. Example:
https://libguides.wlu.edu/c.php?g=357505&p=2412837
https://blog.feedspot.com/usa_news_rss_feeds/
Find at least 200 RSS feeds, ideally more. Double check feeds are up and running.

Start your proposal with: "Research" + " Masta" (without "+ chars) . [anti-spam/bot step].
