(ICW) Scriptwriters for a Youtube documentary Channel with over 300k subscribers
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
I run a YouTube channel that dives into the darkest layers of “iceberg” charts—those tier-style rundowns of unsettling facts, lost media, urban legends and other disturbing oddities. I’d like a talented writer who can capture the chilling, curiosity-fuelled tone my audience loves while keeping every fact tight, well-sourced and binge-worthy.
Here’s what working together looks like:
• You deliver one fully researched, 12,000-word script each week (with room to take on up to three if your schedule allows).
• I pay a flat $70 per script, released as soon as the draft is approved.
• We collaborate directly—either with me or one of my channel managers—so you quickly lock onto the pacing, structure and voice that perform best for us.
• When you nail the main channel, I’ll open the door to additional writing across my other niches.
Acceptance criteria for every script
• An attention-grabbing intro that sets the iceberg theme and stakes.
• Clearly defined tiers that escalate in depth and creep factor.
• Smooth transitions, natural narration flow and time stamps noted for editors.
• Accurate references: cite the article, documentary, forum post or archival source for every major claim.
• A closing that invites viewers to engage (questions, theories, calls to comment).
If crafting long-form, spine-tingling stories backed by solid research sounds like your thing, send over a short sample of similar work and let’s start outlining your first iceberg.
