This project requires familiarity with specific websites, codes, regulations, and the template for writing proposals in government contracting.
Responsibilities:
Research and Identify Opportunities: The specialist will conduct thorough research using resources such as govdirections.com, sam.gov, and usfcr.com. They will identify relevant government contracts in the trucking industry and stay updated on new opportunities by sorting results by date.
Utilize Contract Databases: The specialist will leverage databases including usaspending.gov, NIH.gov (specifically for spending in trucking), and fpds.gov. They will retrieve and analyze contract details, such as contract award numbers and the companies previously awarded the contracts.
Familiarity with Tools and Websites: The specialist should be proficient in utilizing tools and websites mentioned in the project brief. This includes conducting keyword searches, extracting contract information, and gaining insights into relevant contracts.
Compliance and Regulations: The specialist should possess knowledge of government regulations, particularly the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR). They will ensure compliance with procurement policies and procedures.
Proposal Writing: The specialist should be familiar with the template and requirements for writing proposals in government contracting. They will contribute to the development of effective and compelling proposals for pursuing government contracts, adhering to the specific format and guidelines.
Collaborate with Stakeholders: The specialist will collaborate with internal teams, including management, sales, and legal departments. They will work closely with colleagues to develop comprehensive and persuasive proposals that address the specific requirements of each contract.
Registration and Certifications: The specialist will guide the organization in registering with essential platforms such as SAM.gov, SBA, and other relevant websites. They will ensure compliance with registration requirements and assist in preparing necessary certifications for proposal submission.
Requirements:
Proven experience in government contracting, preferably within the trucking industry.
Familiarity with resources such as govdirections.com, sam.gov, usfcr.com, usaspending.gov, NIH.gov, HHS.gov, and fpds.gov.
Strong understanding of trucking industry codes, including 484230, 484110, and 484121.
Proficiency in utilizing online tools, databases, and search engines to gather contract-related information and insights.

Experience with writing proposals in government contracting, including familiarity with the template and requirements.
