Faceless Mini Documentary Shorts
Budget: ₹600 – ₹1,500 INR
I’m putting together a new series of YouTube Shorts that feel like bite-sized documentaries—no talking heads, just powerful visuals, concise on-screen text, and an emotional arc that lingers long after the minute is up.
What I need from you
• Research and script a short (45-60 sec) story centred on overcoming challenges, preferably drawn from real historical events. I’ll provide a few starting points; you’re welcome to suggest others as long as they’re fact-checked and compelling.
• Source royalty-free video, photos, or subtle motion graphics that match the narrative (think Motivation2Study’s energy with a hint of Kurzgesagt’s storytelling clarity).
• Edit everything into a vertical 1080 × 1920 file for YouTube Shorts. The story must be delivered entirely through text on screen—no voiceover—so pacing, typography, and music cues have to carry the emotion.
• Add background music and light SFX that are copyright-safe.
Deliverables
1. Final MP4 (≤60 sec, 1080 × 1920).
2. Editable project file (Premiere Pro, Final Cut, or DaVinci Resolve—whatever you cut in).
3. A brief source sheet citing footage, images, music, and historical references.
Acceptance criteria
• Hook within the first 3 seconds.
• Clear three-act structure: setup, challenge, resolution.
• Accurate historical details, cross-checked against at least two reputable sources.
• Captions large enough for mobile viewing and timed for average reading speed (~150 wpm).
If this first short hits the mark, I have a lineup of topics ready to follow. Looking forward to seeing how you bring history’s most inspiring hurdles to life—silently yet powerfully.
