Problem Statement and Research Question:
Although data researchers and analysts have useful information, if they cannot share it with their
clients and users, it's completely useless. To make all data easy to understand, it is recommended
that all data is presented in an easy-to-navigate manner. Data storytelling is the ability to effectively
communicate insights from a dataset using narratives and visualizations. The use of data
storytelling helps in making better decisions, allows you to find and extract meaningful insights,
and allows you to make compelling stories out of those insights. There is always data, but it is how
we use it, what insights we can glean from it, that makes it so valuable & that is why data
storytelling is so important for businesses today.
How are you going to investigate the problem? Provide Details:
We will search on Google scholar for keywords such as data storytelling, visualization, visual
effects, collaboration, visual communication, and narratives. Studying IEEE papers will be our
starting point for the research, and we will further investigate the issue of when and where it should
be used for maximum benefit. We are aiming to use the Google Scholar tool, the KSU IEEE library
to study related articles and explore them further.
