Conversational Research Partner for Fiction Writing -- 2
Budget: $10 – $30 USD
I’m an author currently planning a fiction project and seeking individuals to help me accurately capture the voices, perspectives, and conversational styles of character types that are outside my experience.
This is not an acting, performance, or writing role. Your primary responsibility will simply be to have a casual, unscripted conversation with me via Zoom audio. The discussion topics will be light and natural — the goal is for me to observe your communication style, word choice, rhythm, and point of view so I can write more authentic dialogue for my characters.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Engage in a friendly, informal conversation (60 minutes max).
Be open to answering some general life and opinion questions.
Maintain a natural tone — no need to “perform” or pretend.
What I’m Looking For:
Native english speakers comfortable talking about their experiences, outlooks, and everyday life.
Authenticity and a willingness to simply be yourself.
Reliability in showing up for scheduled conversations.
Details:
Sessions will be conducted over Zoom audio.
All conversations will be for my private creative reference only — they will not be recorded, published, shared, or attributed.
Flexible scheduling, casual atmosphere, but still treated as professional research work.
In some cases a single session will be all that's needed, in others I may ask for follow up sessions to go into more depth.
