Confirmis Part-time Media Researcher (Hong Kong)

Confirmis (www.confirmis.com) is a Singapore-based business information provider specializing in connecting businesses with global capabilities; comprised of industry veterans, Confirmis business model is designed to overcome perennial lack of data (let alone quality data) to support effective decision-making, particularly in developing economies.

This is desktop internet research work, your tasks are the following:
1. The media researcher will be provided with a list of subject companies and individuals (Directors/shareholders) to research all local and national news media (Chinese and English).

2. Example of worthy and relevant news:
• Significant news in the last 10 years, eg, Merger & acquisition, New business/project announcement / new joint-venture
• Changes in organization structure, including changes of shareholders, board of directors, key executives, etc.
• Major announcements on the company and related companies (eg. secured new projects, incurred substantial financial losses, etc.)
• Significant news on the subject company and related companies e.g. subsidiaries, branch offices, associated companies, joint ventures, etc.
• Any litigation and bribery information

PROJECT DURATION: 3-4 hours (half a day)

SKILLSETS:
• Experienced in internet research, related to local law, preferably business-related.
• Strong in both Chinese and English language proficiency

DELIVERY ELEMENTS:
1. All relevant news, if reported in the native language must be translated into English
2. Weblink of the news, together with source name, news date
