British Library Magazine Search

I need someone WITH A VALID READER PASS who lives in or around LONDON, UK or YORKSHIRE, UK to do some research for me at the BRITISH LIBRARY. The reader pass must have been issued or renewed since March 21, 2024. The task will involve requesting back issues of a magazine. They are currently held in an offsite storage facility and will be delivered to the READING ROOM of your choice (either LONDON or YORKSHIRE). Delivery typically takes two days. Once the reading room of your choice receives the magazines, you will look through them for a specific article and will take photographs of it to send me.

Specifics:

“Woman’s Own” Magazine, years 1994, 1995, 1996.

The shelfmarks are as follows:

1994: LOU.1027-1029
1995: LOU.431-433
1996: LOU.934-936

Article to look for: “Gillian Anderson: Why I Had An Emergency Caesarean”.

The issue number and year of publication are unknown. All I know is that the article can only have been published in 1994, 1995, or 1996. I need YOU to look through every issue from these three years and locate the article. I’m unsure if there will be a teaser on the cover or if you’ll have to check the tables of contents to find it. For the year 1994, only issues published after September 25 need be checked.

Note: the title of the article may have “c-section” and not “caesarean”, so please check for both terms.
