Title: Detailed Property Search Assistant Needed - Specific Needs - Black Forest, Germany

Job Description:

Hello,

We are seeking a highly organized and resourceful freelancer based in or very familiar with Germany, fluent in both German and English, to assist us in finding a very specific type of long-term rental property in the Black Forest (Schwarzwald) region.

The Challenge:
My girlfriend and I have very different environmental needs. She requires extremely low stimulation (minimal noise, few people, high privacy), while I need a certain level of visual "life" and convenient access to amenities to avoid feeling isolated. Finding a property that balances these needs is difficult, which is why we need dedicated help.

Your Task:
Your primary role will be to actively search for suitable rental properties (houses or ground-floor apartments with gardens) that meet our unique and detailed criteria list (see below). This involves:

Searching online real estate portals (ImmoScout24, ImmoWelt, Kleinanzeigen, etc.).

Identifying and contacting local real estate agents (Immobilienmakler) in the target areas.

Clearly communicating our specific requirements (in German) to agents.

Filtering potential properties against our strict criteria list.

Asking clarifying questions about properties (e.g., water hardness, exact location/neighbors, noise levels).

Presenting only the most suitable, pre-vetted options to us with clear summaries (in English).

We want minimal direct involvement in the day-to-day searching process but require regular, concise updates (e.g., weekly summary email).

Our Key Requirements for the Property:

Location: Black Forest (Schwarzwald) region.

Commute: Maximum 3 hours to Zurich main station via public transport.

Privacy: Very few or ideally no immediate/visible neighbours. Detached (Einfamilienhaus) or end-of-row/semi-detached (Doppelhaushälfte/Reihenendhaus) with significant privacy preferred.

Setting: Quiet location, NOT directly beside a busy road (Hauptstraße). Ideally on a quiet side street, path, or edge of settlement.

Nature: Nature visible from most windows (garden, fields, forest).

Garden: Must have a private garden space.

Cat Safety: Garden/outdoor access must be reasonably safe for a cat (e.g., minimal traffic).

Building: Preference for an older building with character ("soul").

Amenities: Maximum 15-minute walk to a basic shop (e.g., bakery, small supermarket).

City Access: Maximum 30-minute journey via public transport to a larger town/small city (e.g., one with multiple shops, train station - specify examples like Freiburg, Offenburg, Villingen-Schwenningen if you have preferences).

Interior: Must have a window in the toilet/bathroom.

Water: Strong preference for soft water (low Kalkgehalt). This may need specific inquiry.

Budget: up to €3000 Kaltmiete

Required Skills:

Fluent in German (native or C1/C2 level) - essential for communicating with agents/landlords.

Good command of English (for reporting to us).

Excellent research and organizational skills.

Proactive and persistent approach.

Familiarity with the German real estate market (especially renting) is a strong plus.

Understanding of geography/transport links in the Black Forest region is helpful.
