Assistance Needed to Find and Secure Investment For Animated Short Film -- 2
Budget: £5 – £10 GBP

Me and my team are currently seeking a £74,060 investment to produce a 2D animated short film with the potential for viral success and award consideration. Me and my colleagues have crafted an exciting story, solid project plan, pitch deck and financial forecast that gives us confidence in the film’s success. We also have project art, storyboards and and a completed animatic to show any potential investors the vision for the film. All we need now is the financial backing to bring the project to life. We are calling this "The VOODOOVILLE Project"
The VOODOOVILLE project is a 2D animated short film based on a scene from the novel of the same name. The goal will be to make a short of such high quality that it garners viral attention from it’s select target market, and catches the eye of TV or Movie studios, with the goal of adapting the short film into a TV series or movie franchise. A deal like this will open the door for multiple revenue streams, such as, royalties, merchandising deals, branding deals, publishing deals etc. Our unique advantage is, the book the short film will be based on was written by myself, the reason this is a very vital and big advantage is because if the short film reaches viral status, that will convert to book sales, not only is that another revenue stream, but the studios we're trying to gain the attention of usually only invest in intellectual property that has a proven fan base, has already sold a significant amount and has a full fleshed story already written with sequel and spin off potential. This is VOODOOVILLE. Also, if the short film reaches viral status or garners thousands, if not millions of views, there is a very high chance we will attract the attention of major publishing houses because the book is an independent release, if a publishing house sees a book selling at a high rate and notices that it does not have a major publishing house attached, this will entice them to acquire the rights, but since the book is already selling at a consistent rate, we now have leverage that most authors would not, which is once again key. Part of the funding will also go towards creating an audiobook because we fill this will help increase sales within our target demo.
What we are looking for is a determined, confident, business minded individual who can dedicate a max of 2 hours a day (10 hours a week max in total) to actively seeking out investment for the project. This will involve planning, sending emails and making phone calls, so we really do need someone who will not be discouraged by rejection, long research or getting hung up on.
We would prefer you to have either some form of business, investment, consulting, or even recruitment experience, whether that be through education or work experience. We do have some strategies on how we could get investment which we would be happy to share with you, but we also would like you to come with your own ideas that maybe we haven't even thought of.
As I said, we can only afford the pay for 10 hours worth of work a week so you can split that up however you please, and when we do secure the investment and the project begins to bring in profits, you will have a percentage stake of all things VOODOOVILLE, including TV & Movie rights, royalties, brand and merchandising etc. We truly do believe this will lead to something big but we do need your help to bring this to life.
