Alexandria Book Research

I'm an author starting to do some research for a detective novel set in Alexandria in 1956. (Yes the year is important). I'm looking for someone that can help find locations and add descriptions for parts of the novel, especially around the port. You don't necessarily need to go there. Some you might just find pictures of. I will probably need someone to visit dodgy areas though. Also I need good, maybe even poetic descriptions of things, and observations, eg market.
Not paying a lot as I'm an out of work author.
