This is requirement for a Systems Engineer or Security Engineer with experience of working on a range of networked and connected sub-systems.
A great opportunity has arisen for a Senior Design Engineer to work for a leading smart buildings and infrastructure company This Engineer role will be working at the systems level to deliver a range of electronic and ICT systems being incorporated into new infrastructure like homes ,hospitals and universities.
Traditional areas of expertise include security systems (CCTV, access control, intruder detection), IT infrastructures, Audio Visual systems and building management systems. However, they advocate a holistic approach to technology and do consider many technology niches, such as smart home technologies, asset tracking and protection, car park management and any other technology that might be applied within the built environment. Due to the growth of smart technology and the incorporation of the internet of things this is a very big list and growing list of technologies!

The ideal candidate will have an understanding of networking and security technologies ideally accompanied by systems design experience.

JOB DESCRIPTION & REQUIREMENTS
Responsible for leading the development of technology
infrastructures from brief through to specification and tender support.
- Input into consultative work - will require an good understanding of key business drivers for ICT infrastructure and implementation, and the ability to support clients in developing briefs for later design work.
- Take an active role in helping to promote the department and engage with senior management in supporting the development of group level strategy.
Requirements for this Systems Design Engineer role

- Inquisitiveness and a desire to be innovative are important, but you must be prepared to listen to our clients and design around their needs.
- Relevant industrial qualifications and a desire to pursue professional registration with a relevant body;
- An understanding of security technologies and concepts is important, ideally accompanied by design experience.
- Knowledge of several of the following
