This work covers the registration requirements for an investment company filed with the SEC. In order to solidify our understanding of these key requirements, we will look at the EDGAR website and several SEC filings. You will then work to complete a registration statement by creating an imaginary company and describing the key components.
I am not expecting perfection on the registration statement but will be looking for you to use Form N-1 in a good faith attempt to: 1. complete Part A, 2. complete at least Items 14-18 of Part B, and 3. read Part C.
Demonstration of EDGAR and walkthrough of Form N-1. For this work, complete all of Part A and Items 14-18 of Part B.
It would be excellent if you wanted to add some of the section relating to Investment Advisors, Portfolio Managers, and the rest of the Items on the Statement of Additional Information, but this is not required.
