The purpose of this research study is to investigate the relationship of factors that stops American Indian women from taking leadership positions in IT companies, with a focus on how they navigate conflicts in their work-life balance and in what ways they have been afforded opportunities. For this purpose, the study will use a quantitative questionnaire instrument. The questionnaire instrument is adapted from the Cultural Competency Inventory Scale (CCI) developed by Yang et al. (2020) for preservice teachers. The original scale had 18 items which could be tested on a 7-point Likert scale. Nonetheless, taking into account the goals of the study 16 items are retained as two concerned majorly with education. The scale adapted will be validated through pilot study.

There are at least 585,000 tech companies in the U.S. Net Tech Population in the case of California is 1,866,951. Men make up 73.2% of the IT sector as of 2021. The study will use a questionnaire which will be sent to the recipients directly via email. Thus, this outlines that the target population is limited and hence, the sample size comes down to
431.

I will share more information once you are comfortable with the topic.
