Writing a review paper for the latest mass-spectrometry Proteomics data Storage Data and Data Presentation
Main objectives: Review paper: Storage Data and Data Presentation
(try) to:
Identify the main features provided by each of the currently existing systems (Massive, etc) for the review paper. Focus on:
Data presentation and the analysis that is possible through the user interface
data storage, indexing, etc (not too much detail)
summary statistics (how many samples, datasets, peptides, psms, etc)
Revisit the PowerPoint slides on peptide identification and understand some basics peptide and protein information
Design a preliminary ER diagram for our system to investigate how the data will be stored in our system
Also, include this in the review. It is a rather large resource but mainly for data archive and data access without any analysis functionalities:
https://www.ebi.ac.uk/pride/
read their most recent publication: https://academic.oup.com/nar/article/50/D1/D543/6415112?login=false
The team is based at Cambridge University but I collaborate with them too so we can benefit from them if needed.
also jPOST: https://jpostdb.org/

generally, in the introduction section of the papers, you can learn about the existence of other similar tools/resources
