As the pandemic crosses into the new year, many have questioned Canada’s pandemic response
and whether we are in a better position then previous year. Cases continue to rise regardless of
high vaccination rates, hospital systems are seeing an increase in admission rates, restrictions
and public health measures are once again tighten to reduce the curve. Was our initial response
good enough? Did we relax too early or are we overacting and Covid is hitting endemic stages?
Critique Canada’s Preparedness and response to the Covid pandemic. Was Canada’s health
system ready to handle Covid? Was Canada response to the pandemic sufficient in slowing
the spread or further measures needed to be implemented but were left out? Compared to
other countries covid response, is Canada in a better or worst position in 2022?
