Science Writer for Research Synthesis
Budget: €5,000 – €10,000 EUR
The National Research Programme «Digital Transformation» (NRP 77) is looking for a science writer to participate in the drafting of the synthesis of the research results.
The NRP 77 investigates and analyses the digital transformation in three areas: education & learning, digital economy & labour market, and ethics, trustworthiness & governance.
The research phase of NRP 77 will come to an end at the end of 2024. Based on the results of the research, the Steering Committee of NRP 77 will summarise the findings and formulate conclusions as well as any political and practical considerations. The management team of the NRP 77 is looking for an experienced Science Writer to accompany this process and to write the synthesis document, starting in January 2025.
The science writer will be mandated to
collect the relevant information,
participate in a retreat in February 2025 and
draft the text of the synthesis document in co-operation with the management team, in English.
For this purpose we are looking for an experienced science writer with the following skills
Fluent writing in English, preferably native English
Proven ability to write for different audiences, with clarity and precision
Familiarity with the topic of digital transformation would be an advantage
Knowledgeable about the Swiss political system would also be an asset
The workload is estimated at 20-25 working days. The mandate is foreseen for 6 months, from January to July 2025.
