This project is required to develop a theoretically grounded research proposal with a clear empirical focus on green transition and sustainability.
The central objective is to advance our understanding of how the green transition is constituted and how it creates new conditions for policy-making, business practices and/or civil society engagement. The empirical focus can range from national and transnational dynamics in the Global North (i.e. The European Green Deal) to development issues regarding green transition in the Global South. Research can for example address the specific challenges and knowledge gap experienced by many SMEs when transitioning to sustainable practices; government and public policy initiatives and the impact of green transition on specific private, public sector and civil society actors including their strategies.
