TARGET COUNTRY/REGION: Indicate why you have chosen the country/region, with some background information about the country/region and the demographics of its population.
5 KEY HEALTH PRIORITIES IN YOUR TARGET COUNTRY/REGION: Describe the incidence, prevalence and trends in key health indicators and how these vary by relevant demographics e.g. age, sex, deprivation, ethnicity, socio-

economic status. Evidence what sources of information/data were used and any ‘data gaps’ e.g. lack of relevant information.
CONCLUSION: Explain which health priority in what target population will be the focus of your health needs assessment report (See assessment 3) and why. (It may be possible to change this focus for the final report, but this should be discussed with the course coordinator by 25th April 2023).
Target populations for health needs assessments are often identified as people sharing a: Geographic location e.g. Aberdeen, Grampian, Scotland, UK.
Settings e.g. workplaces, schools, prisons.
Medical condition e.g. mental illness, diabetes, respiratory disorders.
Social experience e.g. age groups, gender, ethnicity, homelessness, asylum seekers
Often a ‘target population’ will be identified through a combination of main and subcategory groups e.g. older people recovering from a stroke in rural areas.
Word Count / Length
The video should be 5 minutes (+/- 1 minute) in length.
Referencing Style
References should be embedded into the appropriate slide. Referencing style can be Harvard or Vancouver. No final ‘references’ slide is required.
Marking Criteria
Marked using the SMMSN PGT Oral presentation conference style rubric (see page 3).
As there will be no opportunity for questions the Understanding part of the rubric will not include assessment of response to questions. As this is a video presentation, the Presentation Skills part of the rubric will not include assessment of eye contact.
Submission Information
Please submit your video to MyAberdeen by copying and pasting the URL from Panopto (or other media) into the Write Submission part of the final dropbox, or uploading an mp4 file.
