Personal Carbon Footprint Calculator

I'm in need of a sustainability expert who can create the backend for a carbon calculator for individual use, capable of accurately evaluating the extent of a person's carbon emissions. The tool already exists but needs to be upgraded to have the correct forum ales, calculations and values as the tool will be used by industry experts as well. This tool will measure emissions stemming from various daily activities, mainly:

- Transportation: The calculator should consider the different types of transportation and fuel used.
- Housing: It must take into account energy usage from heating, cooling, appliances, etc.
- Food consumption: The project should also analyze the environmental impact of a person's diet.
- Shopping & Lifestyle

The ideal candidate for this project is someone with substantial background in environmental science. Understanding the environmental effects of individual activities and how to accurately translate that into an intuitive and user-friendly tool is critical. Experience in creating calculation tools or applications focused on sustainability will be a big plus. The calculations need to be based on UAE numbers and need to be accurate and updated. You can work with our developers to provide them with all the details for the calculator. We also need to have details on how an individual stacks up against the country per capita numbers and global average too.
