Hello there. I am a social entrepreneur who has started a new venture in Ethiopia, East Africa.
I am building an institute of African intellectual history as a centre of learning and study for the intellectual traditions, contributions and heritage of black thinkers.
Currently I am working with academics at Holy trinity university in Ethiopia, the main thological university to research the manuscripts of great Ethiopian thinkers over centuries. There are 200,000 manuscripts held across the monasteries of Ethiopia. At this time we have identified 15th century manuscripts that we wish to study, digitize and write a research paper on.
We need someone who is familiar with micro film technology that is used to analyse old written work in order to train our researchers on the use of the technology and help to design a short practical course. Included is consultation on the best type of equipment to buy.
