Issue Analysis

With sustainability and corporate responsibility becoming increasingly important for organizations
and businesspersons, it is vital that business professionals and analysts clearly understand the
issues facing them, their impact as well as implications for wider society.
Your role is to analyze an issue specific to a business’ impact on society within
the realm of sustainability, ethics and responsibility. You can choose either a specific business or
a business in general. This can be either an internal issue (socially responsible investing) or
external (how an organization deals with external reporting on environmental compliance) and in
some cases it may be both.

The report should take the following format:
 What issue was studied and why?
 What companies and industries are affected by the issue?
 Analysis of the issue as well as affected companies and industries.
 Recommendations.
