Investigating the Effect of an Equine Facilitated Therapy Curriculum on Parent-Child Relationships

Horses Inspire is a 6 session curriculum shown to have positive outcomes in a pilot project with veteran/first responder families. This study will have a control group of 12 families in a child guidance clinic, two treatment groups 12 families from a special population group and 12 families from an urban area. Pre and post test, adults Parent-child Relationship Inventory (Gerard,1994) Synder Adult Hope Scale and Adult Resiliency Scale for children Snyders Hope Scale and Resiliency Scales for Children and Adolescents - and then for session review Chandler (2005) Psychosocial Animal Assisted intervention Scale.
