Global Health Presentation
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
In this project, you will prepare a presentation on diarrheal diseases in sub-Saharan Africa. Just like a consultant, you will design a program or intervention that is appropriate for that country, culture, and limited resources. You have to justify the problem, and solutions based on the literature sources. The Research Presentation should be no more than 10 slides excluding references, figures, and tables.
(2 Slides) Introduction This section will include the history, brief etiology, and supporting information of the student-selected health problem from a resource-poor country. Introduce how the selected problem is significant to the field of global health, and how this issue has affected the country, population, and region.
(2-4 Slides) The burden of Disease- This section should discuss the population that is affected by the global health issue(s) you selected. You should describe the population in detail i.e (Youth, Elderly, Women, Men, or Children). This section should include statistics to support your research *Citied*
Provide information on selected health disparities. Consider differences in geography, lack of access to adequate health coverage, communication difficulties between patient and provider, cultural barriers, provider stereotyping, and lack of access to providers. Describe in detail
(2-4 Slides) Program Development/Intervention: This section will include the development of a program you would implement to address the global health issue(s) you selected with limited resources. Be creative to design a program that specifically addresses the issue(s) and is supported by research to be effective. Your program should contain, a name, mission, goal, objective, and outcome of the program/intervention to be implemented. Your program SHOULD be appropriate for the country you’re implementing it in. Include organizations that are currently working on similar projects for possible collaboration. A thorough description of the program and what you’re targeting should be clearly outlined

This section should discuss and emphasize the global health implications of your selected issue. Why does your selected issue deserve attention and its significance to improving Global Health? Conclude and summarize all relevant points of your selected issue. Explain what you have learned from researching this topic and what you believe future trends/ innovations may focus on.
