Evolution of Roman Portraiture

Identify and analyze the evolution of Roman portraiture using the Republican, High Imperial, & Late Imperial examples pictured here (please note they are pictured in reverse order). Identify the works and address how the portraits embodied the social and political qualities representative of their period. In terms of style, what do they owe to Greek and Etruscan prototypes & what is originally Roman? How did the style change over time? Cite at least one scholarly source.
