Ecclesiology and psychology Research

God by His wisdom(with human nature in mind) inspired the apostles in structuring the first century church to be a community that fostered sociological, psychological, and spiritual perfection. The church as we know it today falls very short of this goal. I need research to support the hypothesis that the leadership structure, hierarchy, individualism, materialism, the selfie message, and the impersonal way we gather is in opposition with God's prescription in building His church. The good enough church we experience is the best man can do not an all-wise God. I would definitely like biblical references along with the scientific research
