I am finalizing my DNP project and analyzing the data. I need help with ensuring the number are presented correctly.
Per my advisor: Check with a statistician for the best approach to analyzing data for solid data analysis.
Presented is the raw data as summarized in the attached table, and my research goal is (a 30% increase in referral rates after the intervention.). Can you double-check my work to see if that was achieved or not with the intervention group; and whether the results are statistically significant? Comparison with the control group is icing on the cake since it wasn’t called for in your original project design, but it would be interesting for future work on this problem.
Can my percent changes be meaningfully calculated when the beginning number is 0?
What is the difference in the formula for calculating percentages (proportional rate of change in each group) and percentages of percentages (comparing the rate of change proportionally between the two groups after the intervention.) Since my goal is to increase referrals by 30 PERCENT, I need to be able to solidly defend the math indicating whether the project did or didn’t achieve the goal.
What is the correct formula to calculate differences in percentages? Is it the same as calculating percentages of whole numbers?
Once the correct formula is reached, can an Excel calculator function be used with my spreadsheet to help ensure my calculations are correct, including those involving zeros?
Lastly, can you look at confidence intervals and percentage values for relative differences?
