Budget: $10 – $30 USD
Good day guys!
I am looking for Cross-Curriculum write ups for the following:
1. Astronomy and History (Social Studies)
2. Astronomy and Religion (Social Studies)
3. Astronomy and Physics
4. Physics and Biology
5. Physics and Chemistry
6. Physics and Mathematics
7. Physics and Physical Education (Sports Science)
8. Physics and Arts- Science in paintings/frescos.
9. Physics and Music
10. Physics and Warfare
Here is an example Example: Astronomy and History.
Let us take the example of Newton and Kepler. The gravitational laws of Newton and the laws of planetary motions of Kepler can be linked to the historical perspective of the lives of these two great Physicists. This can be a cross-curriculum between Physics/Astronomy and Social Studies. The aspect of this cross curriculum need to be expanded.
Collaboration between Physics and Chemistry.
Rocket Project.
This is a collaborative work done between the Physics and the Chemistry teams. This collaborative exercise aims to help learn the physics and chemical aspects when a rocket is launched. Students make prototype of rockets which are launched and their flight parameters determined. The results are worked out from the physics and chemistry perspectives. The physics aspects involve Newton’s laws of motion and inputting formulae to determine the time of flight, maximum height attained etc. The chemistry aspect will look at comparing the amount of baking soda and vinegar and the amount of gas produced from these reactions.
