foster understanding, or to promote change in the audience’s attitudes, values, beliefs, or
behaviors.
• Carefully read the presentation rubric for details on how your presentation will be graded.
o For example, the rubric includes specific types of slides you need to include in your
presentation (e.g., title, agenda, conclusion, references, etc.).
• Each presentation must be a minimum of 10 minutes.
• You can use Microsoft PowerPoint or Google Presentation to create your presentation
document.
• Central message: the main point/thesis/”bottom line”/”take away” of a presentation. A
clear central message is easy to identify; a compelling central message is also vivid and
memorable.
• Language: Vocabulary, terminology, and sentence structure. Language that supports the
effectiveness of a presentation is appropriate to the topic, respectful to the audience,
