Cardiovascular and Obese Case Study
Budget: $10 – $30 USD
The purpose of these special population case studies is for students to work collaboratively on the application of principles of clinical exercise physiology to a unique individual. These case studies will require students to identify special considerations for specific health and exercise related outcomes, utilize scientific evidence to support the basis for physical activity and exercise in the treatment and prevention of disease, and demonstrate the ability to appropriately adjust exercise prescription based on the individual client.
Important variables that must be followed:
1) Case Studies must be completed in your assigned group of 3-4 students.
2) Provide the best and most thorough answer for each question. You will need to provide reasoning for each response. All answers must be supported by textbooks, class notes, scientific journal articles, and additional credible resources to provide more depth to your answers. A minimum of 10 credible sources is required. Eight or more of those sources must be journal articles. Wikipedia and other such sources are unacceptable to use.
3) There is no page limit requirement. I highly value quality over quantity. Having said that, a one-page document will not accurately reflect your understanding, nor will it show me you put in any time or effort.
4) All citations must be cited in APA format throughout the case study and in the bibliography. A reference page must be included.
5) All answers must be in complete sentences.
6) Use 12 point font with one of the following fonts: Times New Roman, Arial, or Calibri
7) All students must complete and upload a Case Study Peer Evaluation (Word document), with corresponding grades (%) of their group members, to Canvas by the due date (see peer eval instructions).
• If an individual does not submit this, that individual will be deducted 5 points from their score (not the group’s score)
8) No late work will be accepted
9) Case Studies will be graded according to the criteria in the Grading Rubric (see separate document).
